Wyl Menmuir is a multi-award winning writer based in Cornwall. His bestselling debut novel, The Many, was longlisted for the 2016 Booker Prize. His first full length work of non fiction, The Draw of The Sea, won the prestigious Roger Deakin Award in 2022 and a Holyer an Gof Award. Wyl’s short fiction has been published in Best British Short Stories, by BBC Radio 4, National Trust, and Nightjar Press among others.
Wyl is senior lecturer in creative writing at Falmouth University, co-creator of the Cornish writing centre, The Writers’ Block. He is a regular tutor for Curtis Brown Creative, teaches residential courses with Arvon Foundation, and delivers programmes for the National Literacy Trust.
