I write for all ages from picture books up to full-length adult novels. My short story publications include The Guardian, Mslexia, Short Fiction, Route 16 and The Fiction Desk. I was the first UK writer to win the Commonwealth Short Story Competition and am a previous winner of the Hart Crane Memorial Poetry Contest. I’ve written three middle grade children’s books for an American publisher (on a work for hire basis) and have published a number of children’s short stories in magazines and anthologies. I’m also an active member of SCBWI.
