SproutSpoken: It’s Your Shout
Event WebsiteSproutSpoken invites you to a very special gathering of community, creativity and connection at one of the town’s favourite places: The Huer’s Hut. Running in conjunction with National Poetry Day, we’ll be honouring this iconic landmark with songs and spoken word that conjure up the spirit of the Huer at this special place.
If you would like to be involved, we are looking for pieces of performance that respond to the theme: TELL THE WORLD WHAT YOU SEE. A little like the Huer of old would shout a message to the boats below, we are encouraging would-be participants to consider “what they see from their viewpoint… what’s important to them… what would they like to tell the world if they had the chance…”
Tickets: FREE but necessary to gain entrance to the site as capacity is strictly limited.
