Now more than ever we need stories – to engage, to distract, to entertain, to nourish, and to help us make sense of what we’re living through. And so while you can’t come to us, instead we will come to you, bringing a taste of Arvon into your home one night a week. Every Wednesday evening an Arvon tutor will join us as a guest, to read from their own work and answer your questions live and in person online.

This Live Guest Reading is with Colin Grant on Wednesday 27 May at 7:15 pm. Colin Grant is a historian and author of four books including Negro with a Hat: The Rise and Fall of Marcus Garvey and the memoir Bageye at the Wheel, which was shortlisted for the PEN Ackerley Prize 2013. His latest book, Homecoming: Voices from the Windrush Generation was published in October 2019. The reading and interactive Q&A will be hosted on Zoom and tickets are just £5.

We are more committed than ever to helping writers find inspiration, and to make space for their own creativity, no matter the setting. So join us from the comfort of your sofa and listen to writers share their work, the stories behind their work, and invaluable writing advice directly from their own desk (or maybe the kitchen table).
