Book Launch: Pit Murk

Join us at Spike Island studios sculpture yard on Tuesday 31st May, for the launch of Pit Murk. Pit Murk is a new collection of short stories inspired by darkness by writer and performer Hannah Sullivan, designed and published by the Conway and Young Small Press.

The event will include readings by Hannah and guests, a tour of Conway and Young’s studio, vegan food scored by Huma Mulji – served in a bowl made specially for the event by Harriet Bowman. There will also be an opportunity to purchase a limited edition copy of Pit Murk.

Event running times: 8.45 – 10.30pm

Doors: 8.30 pm

Ticket price: pay what you can sliding scale £4-£10. In order to fully cover cost of the event we have a limited number of tickets for each pricing option . No one turned away from lack of funds, please get in touch if you can’t afford the ticket price.

Conway and Young Small Press – a new venture with the aim of encouraging and exposing new writing, ideas and early iterations of works that don’t yet have funding from self-identifying women, non-binary and queer artists

Hannah Sullivan – writer and performer In Bristol. Hannah has previously written theatre shows ‘Echo Beach’ and ‘With Force and Noise’; performance piece ‘Draw to Look’; and self-published a collection of short stories ‘Ann, Aida, May’. Hannah studied MA Performance Research at the University of Bristol and BA Theatre with Visual Practices at Dartington College of Arts.
