FRONT ROOM PHOENIX: BLOOM 2020
EXETER’S ONLINE FESTIVAL OF MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
Last year, Exeter Phoenix opened its doors for Exeter Bloom, a festival to mark Mental Health Awareness week. With the country currently in lockdown, mental health awareness has never felt more pressing and so rather than postponing Bloom 2020, we are moving this year’s festival online!
Welcome to Bloom 2020 – an online, virtual festival to mark Mental Health Awareness week. Within this collection of at-home-activity we hope there is something for everyone – whether you want to actively engage in a discussion, feel connected with your community, learn more about the services and groups available in Exeter, get creative, broaden your knowledge, get off the couch or enjoy some quality cultural content from the comfort of your living room. Everyone’s response to lockdown will be personal and unique, so we hope we have collected a range of ways for you to connect with the community, however you might be feeling.
None of this would have been possible without the organisations and individuals who have offered their enthusiasm and support by getting involved in this weekend.
FESTIVAL TIMETABLE: FRI 15 MAY
FESTIVAL TIMETABLE: SAT 16 MAY
OTHER FESTIVAL ACTIVITY WILL INCLUDE:
- Craft videos you can enjoy from home
- Poetry recommendations from the Poetry Archive
- Poetry writing activities
- Advice from YMCA Exeter and other service providers
- …and more.
