This event is the culmination of Alyson Hallett’s 6 month residency in the Earth Sciences Department at the University of Bristol. The exhibition is in the EarthArt gallery, in the Wills Building, Bristol.

Alyson has been working with scientists and looking at impact in relation to craters made by volcanoes and meteorites. She has also been thinking about impact more generally in our lives, especially in relation to the pandemic and war in Ukraine.

The exhibition includes poetry, rocks, stones, more poetry, decolonising rock collections, poetry, thin sections of rocks, books, journals and sketches.

There will be a panel discussion on the night of the exhibition opening between Alyson, a volcanologist and planetary scientist. You can book a ticket for the panel discussion on 30th September here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/impact-tickets-420153820387

The exhibition will be there for six months, and open to the public on Wednesday afternoons.
