Event Website

A fun and engaging writing workshop for ages 12 – 120 and all levels of experience.

First we will discuss what we’d like to write about or what themes interest us. We will explore and practise empathetic writing.
We will look at and practise short story structure – how to introduce setting, a main character, a challenge the main character must face and resolutions.

The three-hour workshop will be followed by a picnic lunch (please bring a plate to share) and the opportunity to chat about writing.

Jane Pugh is a screenwriter, playwright and writing tutor, as well as a regular storyteller and stand-up performer, whose short films have been commissioned by BBC, Channel 4 and the UK Film Council (now BFI) and have won a total of seven awards including an Oscar for best short foreign film

Cost £20; spaces are limited – advance booking essential.
