Join international wordsmith Pete The Temp and Plymouth-born punk poet T.S. Idiot for a night of words (and possibly wisdom) – with TWO local support acts!

Pete The Temp is a loop station artist, poet and comic who has featured on BBC Radio 4, toured with Slamboree and performed at Festivals across the UK and Europe. He is a former UK Slam Champion and is the author of Stage Invasion: Poetry & the Spoken Word Renaissance.

In his new show Homer To Hip Hop, Pete combines spoken word and performance lecture to share his knowledge on the history of spoken word – from tribal shamans and medieval bards, to ballad singers and Beat poets and the icons of dub, punk and hip hop.

T.S. Idiot is a queer punk who has shared the stage with the likes of John Cooper Clarke and Attila The Stockbroker, and was once called ‘very poor taste’ by Devon County Council. They join Pete The Temp to share their signature blend of agitated punk poetry, surreal comedy and razor sharp political wit.

Support comes in the form of Auntie Pus and Marion Clare…

Auntie Pus (AKA The Punk Balladeer) is a poet and musician who toured with the likes of the Damned and the Ruts in the golden era of punk rock. Since then, he’s earned a well-deserved cult following and has returned to the stage, delivering poems with a biting edge and performing with folk-jazz band Hot Club of Stonehouse.

Marion Clare is a writer & spoken word artist. Magnetically drawn to the radical edges of art, she is a lover of the anarcho-DIY punk ethic and endlessly fascinated by people and their stories. She is also a member of Plymouth art-punk band The Spoils Collective
