Event WebsiteThe SCRIPTWRITERS & CO INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL, sponsored by FINAL DRAFT and POSTERITY ENTERTAINMENT, is the grand culmination of a major scriptwriting competition that’s now open for submissions. It will take place from 11.30am-10pm on Sunday 10 April 2022 at a beautiful venue.
Komedia Bath is a Grade II listed and wonderfully restored former Beau Nash cinema, slap bang in the centre of Bath, England, renowned for its Roman Baths and Georgian architecture. It’s one of only a handful of entire cities to be inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Their festival is open to audio and theatre playwrights and screenwriters worldwide, and offers a choice of page counts and prices to suit everyone. They’re committed to making this competition accessible to talented writers at any stage of their journey into or through the industry.
There will be trophies for winners of major categories, plus career-changing prizes for the two winners of their industry-cracking, route-to-production S&CO/POSTERITY AWARDS worth c£100,000 each: one for a theatre play, the other for a feature screenplay.
Thanks to generous sponsorship from FINAL DRAFT, the winners and runners-up of all full-length categories (including the S&CO/POSTERITY AWARDS) will receive a copy of FD12 as well as their trophy, as will the winners of the ‘Shorter Film or TV Pilot’ and ‘Shorter or One-Act Stage/Audio Play Script categories.
Based in Bath, Somerset, SCRIPTWRITERS & CO also offer scriptwriting courses for playwrights and screenwriters, and a thriving community of writers, actors, producers and directors – it’s for anyone who studies and/or works in the performing arts.
