Word Kitchen at Brook Kitchen Open Mic Prose Night with special guest Andy Brown
Event WebsiteOur regular quarterly open mic for writers of prose. We welcome novel and short story extracts, flash fiction. We have regular readers but we are always looking for new faces and new voices whatever stage you are at on your writing journey. If you just want to come along and listen that’s great too. The venue is a lovely arts gallery cafe and has a level entrance from the street. There is plenty of parking nearby. The venue offers food and drink to purchase at the event.
On this occasion we are joined by Andy Brown as our special guest who will be reading from his new historical novel The Midnight Mechanic. Andy will also take part in a Q&A. Andy is Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Exeter and is an accomplished poet.
