Join our established Writing Our Legacy Crawley Writers Group for a writing workshop online on 9 May at 7PM
About this event
Sean Wai Keung will be leading a workshop for Writing Our Legacy’s Crawley Writers group, which is open to all writers and creatives with an interest in developing their writing practice.
In this workshop we’ll be using writing as a way to explore the things in life that bring us joy, whether that’s music, community, food or just taking the opportunity to dedicate a few moments to yourself. It will be a safe, warm, welcoming space designed to offer you a chance to experiment with how writing can be a useful tool for exploring those things in life that put a smile on your face.
Sean Wai Keung is a writer and performance-maker based in Glasgow. His poetry pamphlet ‘you are mistaken’ won the Rialto Open Pamphlet Competition 2016 and was named a Poetry School ‘book of the year’. His full-length collection, ‘sikfan glaschu’, was then released in 2021 by Verve Poetry Press, which The Scotsman described as “joyful, earnest and offering unexpected poignancies from everyday life.” He is also editor at EX/POST zine and the Instant Noodle Literary Review.
The session is open to those in all stages of writing including beginners and those new to writing.
Supported by Arts Council England’s National Lottery funded Project Grant.
The workshop will take place on Zoom.
