We were pleased to launch the first ever Quay Words podcast in August.

Over the past few months, we’ve been finding new ways to explore a love of words and stories in digital formats. Quay Words is a programme which takes place at the historic Exeter Custom House. During this time, we can’t be in the building but we can certainly find ways to share the stories of Exeter Custom House and the city of Exeter.

One of the ways we’ve decided to do this is by hitting your podcasting apps with the Quay Words podcast. A monthly offering, these podcasts will feature the writers we work with, the people we meet and the stories they have to share.

The second episode of the Quay Words podcast is all about storytelling. Literature Works CEO Helen Chaloner is in conversation with storyteller Katy Cawkwell, who will be producing an exciting digital storytelling commission for Quay Words in September for Heritage Open Days. Find out more about this here.

In this month’s podcast, Katy talks about her inspiration, motivation and life as a storyteller and treats us to a story.

This episode is available on Apple podcasts and the Google Playstore and here, on the website via SoundCloud.
