Bedtime Stories for the End of the World is a podcast series examining the power of myth in times of political crisis. They are seeking contributors ahead of the launch of their second series.
Emerging poets will work with some of UK’s top poets, including: Malika Booker, Andrew McMillan, Sabrina Mahfouz, Kei Miller, Helen Mort and Jack Underwood; and the project is supported by Spread the Word.
Called “beautifully nerdy” by BBC Radio 4, the series commissions poets to re-imagine traditional stories, myths and fairy tales for these troubled times.
They are looking for 12 emerging poets to join their project and to collaborate closely with one of their lead artists and produce a 5-7 minute poem.
Participants will all receive a £300 fee for this commission and travel costs for writers outside London is available.
