A creative writing programme promoting creativity, opportunity, tolerance, understanding and mutual respect, this course is taking place as part of Dorset Libraries’ Libraries As Cultural Hubs programme.

Are you interested in pursuing creative writing professionally or as a hobby? Do you want to organise your thoughts and give meaning to your experience? Do you want to creatively express experiences unique to you in a form accessible to others?
The aim of the course is to encourage empathetic understanding between individuals and across different groups emphasising our common humanity. These workshops will be high-energy and thought-provoking, and Chris’s infectious enthusiasm will inspire your writing and boost your self-confidence.
This free course is for anyone who feels they belong to a minority or disadvantaged group or if you want to gain an insight into other cultural communities.
This ‘community of diversity’ creative writing skills programme offers 10 weekly fiction and script writing classes on Zoom.
Monday 20th September – Monday 29th November 2.00pm – 5.00pm weekly (no session on 25th October) .
When you sign up it is important that you are able to attend all or most of the ten sessions.
Chris Jury is an English actor, writer and director with a range of television credits and has lectured on scriptwriting and Film & TV production at various universities.
He is the founder of Changing Stories CIC that provides creative and educational projects, using the creation of story as a tool of self-realisation for the disadvantaged.
