The Patricia Eschen Prize for Poetry (Adult’s Competition)

13th May 2024

The Morrab Library in Penzance has partnered with The Dennis Myner Trust to host The Patricia Eschen Prize for Poetry 2024. The international poetry competition features a new “Sonnet Prize” for the best poem written in this form. The overall competition will be judged by Cornwall-based poet Katrina Naomi (see Katrina at Quay Words in Exeter this July launching her new collection Battery Rocks) and the sonnet prize will be judged by Arizona-based poet Jodie Hollander. The competition does not have a theme and entries may be written in any form or style but to be eligible, they must be original and not previously published.
