Primary Colours by Laura Horton

We’re pleased to share Primary Colours by Laura Horton – her final commission as Plymouth Laureate of Words, the role she held between 2020 and September 2023.

This piece was based on Laura’s experience of returning to her old school in spring 2022, to lead pupils there in creating monologues – you can learn more about the Plymouth Primary Project and watch some of the resulting work here.

Plymouth Laureate of Words is a collaboration between Literature Works, The Box and Plymouth Culture. The new Laureate, selected via public vote earlier this year, is Rosemarie Corlett.
