Natasha Carthew is a working-class Country Writer from Cornwall who has written all her books outside, either in the fields and woodland that surrounds her home or in the cabin that she built from scrap wood. She has written three books of poetry and three Young Adult books. Her first Adult book All Rivers Run Free published with Riverrun/Quercus/Hachette in Spring 2018.
Her first book for Young Adults Winter Damage (Bloomsbury Publishing) was nominated for the 2014 Carnegie Medal and shortlisted for several national awards including the prestigious Branford Boase Award. Her second book The Light That Gets Lost was published by Bloomsbury in 2015. Her third YA book Only the Ocean is due for publication by Bloomsbury Autumn 2018.
Natasha has written for many publications including; Writers & Artists Yearbook, Eco-Fiction, Trip Fiction, The Guardian and The Big Issue. Two Wild Writing essays will feature in Dark Mountain Project Summer 2018 and Katharine Norbury’s ‘Women On Nature’ book of essays in 2019.
She’s currently writing her second literary novel for adults and a new collection of rural poetry. When she is not writing, she runs Wild Writing Workshops countrywide.
