Rosie writes poetry and creative non-fiction. In the past, she has taught literature and creative writing at the University of East Anglia, Bristol UWE, Nottingham Trent and in many community settings.
Poetry publications include What the Ground Holds (Poetry Salzburg, 2014), The Light Box (Cultured Llama, 2016), Two Girls and a Beehive: Poems about the art and lives of Stanley Spencer and Hilda Carline (with Graham Burchell, Two Rivers Press, 2020), Aloneness is a Many-Headed Bird (with Dawn Gorman, Hedgehog Press, 2020), Light Makes it Easy (Indigo Dreams Press, 2021).
Her poems appear in many journals and anthologies and she has won many awards including 1st prize Teignmouth 2021, 1st prize Poetry Space 2019, 1st prize Wells 2018, 1st prize Stanley Spencer Poetry Competition 2017. She was a prize winner in the Poetry Society members’ poems 2021.
Her memoir The Glass Mother was published by Unthank in 2016. Other books of prose include Fantasy: The Literature of Subversion; Frieda Lawrence; The Eye of the Buddha (fiction) and Mothers Who Leave.
Rosie run groups on poetry writing and memoir and also offers mentoring on individual writing projects.
