I am a retired airline Captain. One of my contracts required I base myself in Tokyo, where, after two years of commuting monthly, I moved my family over for five years. During this time we rescued a six year old Red Setter. Her name was Cheval. Chevvy, as we called her, became my dog.
When my contract finished, we moved to Spain, where I continued to fly until forced retirement at age 65. During this period I began writing my autobiography but was overtaken by a desire to write about Chevvy.
