Sharon Cook

A former journalist, I have two long-listed manuscripts, ‘Sewing Sequins on my Straight Jacket’ (MsLexia 2014) and ‘Hope’ (Bath Novel Prize 2016). Prior to the books I co-published two collections of short stories, edited a collection for the writing group I co-founded and am a regular host at a small literary festival. I write poetry which I occasionally perform, had a story short-listed in Writing Magazine in June 2018.
To support both my children, and my writing, I work in a prison library.
