Katrina Naomi was awarded an Authors’ Foundation grant by the Society of Authors in 2018 for work on her third poetry collection, which is due from Seren in 2020. She is currently working on a BBC commission for National Poetry Day. Katrina recently returned from writing in Japan on an Arts Council England-sponsored project to take up a poetry residency at the Leach Pottery. Her poetry has appeared in The TLS, Poetry London and The Poetry Review, as well as on Front Row and Poetry Please (BBC Radio 4), and in The Forward Book of Poetry 2017. Her latest collection, The Way the Crocodile Taught Me (Seren, 2016), was chosen by Foyles’ Bookshop as one of its #FoylesFive for poetry. She holds a PhD in creative writing from Goldsmiths. Katrina was the first writer-in-residence at the Brontë Parsonage Museum, she’s since had residencies at the Arnolfini, Gladstone’s Library and at Hawthornden Castle. She’s received commissions from Imperial College and Turner Contemporary. She tutors for Arvon, the Poetry School and Ty Newydd, and runs Poetry Surgeries for the Poetry Society. Katrina lives in Penzance.
