I write flash fiction and short stories, and am currently working on a coming of age novel set in South Wales. My flash fiction has been short-listed, long-listed and highly commended in the Bath Flash Fiction Award, the Reflex Fiction Award and the TSS Creative Non Fiction Flash prize, amongst others. Following a reading at a Flash event in Bath last year, I was invited to co-edit the 2018 National Flash Fiction Day Anthology with Santino Prinzi. I won the local author prize in The Bath Short Story Award in 2016 and have also had short stories published in Mslexia magazine. My novel manuscript was short-listed for the Janklow & Nesbit prize, long-listed for the Mslexia New Novel Award and won runner-up prize in the Bridport First Novel Award. In 2018 I was one of twenty emerging Welsh writers selected for the Hay Literary Festival’s Writers at Work scheme.
I run regular writing retreats and workshops for various organisations, and have delivered sessions at The National Flash Fiction Festival, the University of Bristol and Word Ward in Cardiff, as well as through my own Bristol based writing venture, WriteClub.
