I’m an artist and writer based in Penzance, with a studio in Newlyn. I love wild places, and find most of my inspiration from my experiences walking, sitting, and dreaming in wild places such as Shetland and Italian National Parks. I’ve had two books published by Guillemot Press (Iona Notebooks, 2017; Shetland Notebooks, March 2019), and one forthcoming published by UCLan (Lancaster University Creative Writing dept) due for release in September 2019.
I write, draw and paint. The artist Maria Lassnig said: ‘the pen is sister to the brush’. I believe this.
I write every day, notes which respond to my images, and to my inner life; as well as when I’m in places which inspire me, such as Tremenheere Gardens.
